The for an ideal on the go gamer15 October 2020I recently purchased the ASUS TUF A15 for school and primarily gaming without my pc. I love pretty much everything that comes along with the laptop, the rtx 2060 graphics are a standout compared to most other laptops around this price point. The keyboard feels great and responsive along with the 144hz screen. The battery is really the issue have the product, it's too small for the amount of power it actually uses and needs, the short amount of time without the power adapter is the only bust. In saying that I would recommend this laptop to anyone in need of one around this price.
Great but small battery15 October 2020The ASUS TUF A15 with RTX 2060 graphics is a fantastic gaming laptop. Sure the colours of the screen aren't the greatest but if you aren't a professional video or photo editor I doubt you would even notice. The battery life of this laptop can range from an hour to three, for this reason it's not the ideal laptop for school, however if you do not mind bringing your power adapter the power of the computer is absolutely outstanding. I have bought, and if I had to again, I would.
Value for money gaming laptopBy: Ping Hei Ronnie on 5 June 2020Received my unit on the 3rd business day after purchase. Delivery is quick considering the postal and logistic problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. Just opened package and the laptop looks good. Display does not look as bad (colour and brightness wise) as some reviews on YouTube suggest, even though the laptop I was upgrading from was 5 years old. It does have bloatware as many mobile phones/laptops/desktops do, but one just need to uninstall them. It has very good spec (Ryzen 7 4800H and RTX 2060), plus a 144Hz FHD display for gaming for the price. USB-C (supporting display port) among other ports for external monitor connection. Curiously it has a USB2.0 port. I guess I can just use it for mouse/keyboard. The build quality is good. However, I do find one (?) dead pixel on the display when it's all white or green. I wonder if it's common for other users or it's just me. Or else, it would have been 5 stars. I'm not going to use it on the go frequently so I'm happy with the 48WH battery. I can therefore take advantage of that for choices of extra storage. This laptop is for owners who want the best hardware spec possible within their budget and do not mind missing out on non-essential items. I will now install some games right now and play away. I look forward to enjoying the laptop for both professional work and personal usage.
Asus Tuf - Excellent product at an extraordinary p4 June 2020I received my laptop within 2 business days of ordering it. I was very impressed with the customer service from Shopping Express, they were quick responsive and able to answer all of my queries. Now on the laptop. The Asus Tuf FA506IV-AL043T is package securely and neatly with all components tucket away in separate compartments. The model with a 48wh battery comes with additional screws, a sata cable and hdd cage to install your own 2.5" drive. All models with a 1660ti or rtx2060 have a spare M.2 drive, which make this great for a desktop replacement providing plenty of storage options. I was not keen on getting the Bonfire Black colour when first ordering the laptop as the Fortress Gray was not (yet) available. However, the bonfire black is not as plastic/cheap looking as photos make it look. The laptop has a rigid feel and it not easily fingerprint pron, with the exception of the logo on the lid. Performance-wise this laptop is exceptional with a 4800h 8-core/16-thread cpu and rtx 2060. It can get warm when gaming/rendering, but is never uncomfortable and does not induce sweaty hands, as many competing laptops do. Considering the hardware inside, the fans can be a little noisy, but are much quieter than my previous dell laptop. While the screen of the laptop is an "IPS-level" panel, it has far better image quality than many of the previous TN panels I've used, and a high refresh to back it up. There are plenty of high-refresh IPS screens with better image quality, but the panel of the tuf is still a very nice panel for a value-oriented laptop. It has wide viewing angles and is easy on the eyes when doing office work - I'm quite sensitive to displays. I have not tested the battery life to make a conclusive review. However, using my current experience with battery life, I estimate it will be will be roughly 3-4 hours when web browsing, which is ample for most situations. I am looking forward to using this laptop more and more.
